Objectives

General Objective (GO) 1. Globally map spaces for socialisation, communication networks and the international scientific production of the History of Education.

 

Specific Objectives (SO) linked to GO 1:

  • SO1: Take a census and analyse the trajectory of journals, scientific societies and conference series.

  • SO2: Prepare a map of the topics that have been researched, promoted and discussed.

General Objective (GO) 2Study the historiographic production and evolution, during the last twenty-five years, of key historical-educational issues that can provide elements of reflection and analysis for current educational challenges.

 

Specific Objectives (SO) linked to GO 2:

  • SO4: Analyse the historiographic production and evolution of the studies of Género y políticas de igualdad {Gender and equality policies} (education of women, gender and equality, etc)
    • PRINCIPAL RESEARCHER: José Luis Hernández.
  • SO5: Analyse the historiographic production and evolution of the studies of Inclusión and atención a la diversidad {Inclusion and attention to diversity} (specialised education, groups at risk of exclusion, pedagogy of the periphery, diversity, etc.)
    • PRINCIPAL RESEARCHER: Andrés Payà Rico.
  • SO6: Analyse the historiographic production and evolution of the Influencias, transferencias and transnacionalización de la educación {Influences, transfererence and transnationalisation of education} (international relations, dialogues, reception and circulation of knowledge, etc.)

  • SO7: Analyse the historiographic production and evolution of the Movimientos sociales and educativos {Social and educational movements} (teachers, students and other education actors as political, social and cultural subjects).

General Objective (GO) 3Study the impact and/or repercussions of internationalisation in the global community of educational historians during the last twenty-five years.

 

Specific Objectives (SO) linked to GO 3:

  • SO8 Analyse the impact and/or repercussions of internationalisation of the editorial process
    • PRINCIPAL RESEARCHER: José Luis Hernández Huerta.
  • SO9: Analyse internationalisation of the forms of production of knowledge: the linguistic policies and the media space occupied by each language, the places of production, the importance of and means for international collaboration the geopolitical focus of the researchers, the proportion of comparative, international and transnational or global studies, the approach and implementation of the special editions of bulletins, monographs or collective works derived from scientific events and the monographic sections of specialised journals.

  • SO10: Analyse the impact and/or repercussions of internationalisation in scientific social spaces and in the history of education: the approaches of published studies (articles), of the special or monographic editions of journals and of scientific gatherings.

General Objective (GO) 4Develop tools for network research adapted to the demands and needs of the global scientific community of educational historians and possibilities offered by information and communication technology.

 

Specific Objectives (SO) linked to GO 4:

  • SO11: Develop a global database of Educational Historians with the necessary information to foster and facilitate the creation of transnational research networks.

  • SO12: Develop a specialised database on the History of Education that contains the metadata of all the articles that are published in specialised journals in the field of knowledge.
    • PRINCIPAL RESEARCHER: Andrés Payà Rico.

 


 

General Objective (GO) 5Enrich the scientific, political and ethical debates connected to the evaluation processes of editorial projects, the quality of scientific production and evaluation of the researchers of the history of education.

 

Specific Objectives (SO) linked to GO 5:

  • SO13: Analyse the policies of accreditation and certification of the quality of research, both of the journals and the researchers, using the countries of origin of the research team members as case studies.
    • PRINCIPAL RESEARCHER: José Luis Hernández Huerta.
  • SO14: Develop recommendations tailored to the characteristics of the History of Education, which can be used by organisations, entities and companies in charge of certifying the editorial and production quality of researchers.
